| JD 97 (1/2026): Showing a kiss of maturity and in a great spot today, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is incredibly aromatic with dark currants, leafy tobacco, iron, peppery herbs, and graphite-driven aromas and flavors. Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 19 months in 60% new French oak, it's full-bodied, ripe, and nicely concentrated, yet has a juicy spine of acidity as well as nicely integrated tannins. | JD 98 (1/2026): A killer effort from this great vintage for the Valley, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up currants, spice, leafy tobacco, and cedar pencil on the nose. Checking in as the usual 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 19 months in 60% new French oak, it's round, lush, and hedonistic on the palate, with fine tannins, no hard edges, and that open, seamless, sexy style of the vintage. | JD 98+ (1/2021): Purchased at the great Napa restaurant Press, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon showed brilliantly. A powerful, locked-and-loaded 2013 that’s just about as good as anything out there, it reveals a deep purple color as well as a blockbuster nose of blackcurrants, scorched earth, violets, candied flowers, and chocolate. With building minerality on the palate, full-bodied richness, a monster of a mid-palate, and a great finish, this is another insanely good 2013 that will take another 4-5 years of bottle age and will evolve for 30-40 years. JD 99 (12/2021): In contrast, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is more round and supple, with loads of pure Napa magic in its notes of crème de cassis, toasted spice, smoked tobacco, and cedar pencil. Full-bodied, opulent, and loaded with fruit, it still stays pure, precise, and focused, with ripe tannins, a layered, multi-dimensional texture, and one incredible finish. I finished my notes with “Awesome.” Both the 2018 and 2019 are incredible, singular wines readers should seek out.
VM 97 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a flat out stunner. Rich, ample and explosive, the 2019 possesses tremendous depth and pedigree to burn. Dark red cherry, plum, lavender, spice and menthol race across the palate. Time in the glass brings out a whole range of aromas and flavors that add stunning complexity.
