JD 92 (3/2021): The 2018 Château Du Tertre is solid, offering an attractive bouquet of red and black fruits, vanilla bean, dried flowers, balsam (which I always seem to find in this wine), and sandalwood. It's beautifully complex, has medium-bodied richness, moderate tannins, and a forward, charming, already delicious style that's ideal for enjoying over the coming 15 years. (Drink between 2021-2036). VM 90 (3/2021): The 2018 Château du Tertre, this estate sold by the Jelgersmar family during my tastings, has an intense bouquet of iris and pencil lead aromas infusing the black fruit, and a touch of ash in the background. I like the chutzpah here. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins on the entry, quite firm and earthy, with just a little dryness on the graphite-tinged finish. This is decent du Tertre that just needs to muster a touch more finesse in bottle. (Drink between 2023-2042). Neal Martin. WA 90 (3/2021): Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 du Tertre delivers a good intensity of stewed black plums, kirsch and black raspberry notes, plus hints of dried Provence herbs, tobacco leaf and cedar chest. The medium-bodied palate offers plenty of red and black fruit preserves flavors with a soft texture and loads of freshness, finishing with an herbal lift. |

JD 93-95 (4/2026): A pretty, perfumed wine, the 2025 Château Du Tertre offers ample cassis and exotic blue fruits intermixed with spicy oak and herbal and floral nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has fine, polished tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and remarkable purity, precision, and elegance. It's one of those underrated, complex wines that builds beautifully with time in the glass, and it might match or even exceed the 2022. Bravo. VM 92-94 (4/2026): The 2025 Château du Tertre was picked 8 to 22 September and matured in 40% new oak. It is cohesive and focused on the nose, plenty of graphite-infused black fruit that nudges it stylistically towards Pauillac. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with, again, quite a Pauillac-like entry thanks to that graphite edge. Well defined with satisfying length, this is a classy du Tertre, one of the best I have tasted from barrel. Neal Martin. WA 92-94 (4/2026): The 2025 Château du Tertre, a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot (40% new oak), reveals a bouquet of dark wild berries and spice along with discreet, well-integrated oak. Medium- to full-bodied, fleshy and dense, it's also structured with elegant, youthful tannins and concludes with a long, ethereal and dark fruit–inflected finish. JA 92 (4/2026): Bright, cheerful, good quality, full of fragrant florals, super enjoyable, one of the wines that will be ready within five to eight years rather than 10 to 15, anchoring through the mid palate. Yield 30.2 hl/ha. 40% new oak. |

VM 89-91 (4/2026): The 2025 Château du Tertre Blanc has a precise and crisp green apple, pear and persimmon-scented bouquet. The palate is well balanced, with bright acids and fine tension, Anjou pear mixed with white peach leading to a more linear finish. Good potential. Neal Martin. WA 89-91 (4/2026): The 2025 Blanc from Château du Tertre, bottled April 20, is a blend of 43% Chardonnay, 29% Gros Manseng, 14% Viognier and 14% Sauvignon Blanc. It reveals aromas of spice, white fruits, confit citrus and pear. Medium- to full-bodied, enveloping and elegant, it’s fresh and well balanced, built around a core of fruit with good depth and lively acidity, concluding with an ethereal finish. JA 93 (4/2026): Stands out from the lineup for its power and clarity, finessed floral rose petals, elderflower blossom, citrus, cloves and oyster shell salinity on the finish. Harvest 18 August to 2 September. 50% new oak |
