JS 89 (2/2015): A fine and fresh wine with bright fruit and flowers, a medium body and an earthy, spicy finish. Minerally and crisp. Slightly lacks a mid-palate. Drink or hold. VM 87-90 (5/2013): Medium-deep ruby. Musky aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant and earth lifted by floral and vanilla elements. Sweet, supple and very ripe, this big, strapping wine offers rich, saline flavors of creamy dark fruits and smoky minerals. Finishes suave and stylish, with noteworthy length; harmonious acids really extend the flavors at the back. A superb Fieuzal made from obviously ripe fruit. Ian d'Agata. WA 89+ (4/2015): Loads of ripe fruit are present in this wine, but I was surprised by what appeared to be a lack of complexity and nuance. It is certainly chunky, has a dense ruby/purple color and the concentration is adequate. The wine showed blue, red and black fruits, spice, and earth, but is not showing the nuances and complexity I would have expected. Drink it over the next 15 years. |

| WA 90 (2/2018): Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 De Fieuzal is scented of lovely ripe plums and crushed red currants with touches of forest floor and bay leaves. Medium-bodied, firm and grainy with great freshness cutting through the earthy layers, it finishes long. |

| JS 94 (1/2019): Very intense red-plum and dark-fleshed peach aromas, plus a hint of pomegranate, make this generous, well-structured Pessac-Leognan red very attractive. However, the full, moderately dry tannins need some time to resolve. Better from 2021, but with a long future ahead of it. |

JD 94-96 (4/2026): Ripe black cherries, assorted blue fruits, graphite, and freshly sharpened pencil notes all define the 2025 Château De Fieuzal, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot that's being raised in 40% new French oak with the balance in once-used barrels and 10% amphora. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, remarkable purity, and a great finish. The purity and quality of the tannins are first-rate, and this is a brilliant Pessac-Léognan in the making. VM 90-92 (4/2026): The 2025 Château de Fieuzal has an understated bouquet with red berry fruit, sous-bois and light marine scents that gradually opens up with aeration. I would have liked to have seen more vigour in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with an edgy opening. More herbaceous than expected, it almost seems there was a bit of stem addition à la Les Carmes! It does cohere a little in the glass, so I am intrigued to see how it shows in bottle, though I remain prudent with my score for now. Neal Martin. WA 94-96 (4/2026): The 2025 de Fieuzal, harvested between September 4 and 26, is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. It wafts from the glass with aromas of cassis, mulberries, wisteria and flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and precise, it’s built around a fleshy core of fruit framed by velvety, finely grained tannins and concludes with a long, ethereal and perfumed finish. More structured than usual, it remains well balanced, supported by lively acidity and a subtle, gastronomic bitterness on the finish. It's a classical expression and one of the more compelling values in Bordeaux this year. JA 94 (4/2026): Grilled cedar and sandalwood, characterful damson fruits, with some of the squid ink salinity that is such a lovely marker of ripe Cabernet Sauvignon on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Harvest September 4 to 26. Quinn family owners. |

JD 94-96 (4/2026): Bright citrus and orchard fruit, mint, and some spicy wood all emerge from the 2025 Château De Fieuzal Blanc, a serious Pessac-Léognan blanc based on 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, with the Sémillon aged in new barrels and the Sauvignon Blanc raised in once-used barrels. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a nicely concentrated, balanced mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a great finish. VM 89-91 (4/2026): The 2025 Château de Fieuzal Blanc was picked 17 to 25 August. This is quite understated on the nose and demands some coaxing, eventually revealing Granny Smith, Anjou pear and light sea spray scents. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity. Lemon and orange pith notes, not amazingly complex, but I like the texture and there is ample freshness and weight on the finish. Fine. Neal Martin. WA 93-95 (4/2026): One of the more compelling white wines in Bordeaux in recent years, the 2025 Blanc from Château de Fieuzal unfurls in the glass with an attractive bouquet of pear, white peach, spice, flowers and ripe orchard fruits. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and dense, it’s built around a fleshy, seamless core of fruit, framed by racy acidity that carries through to a long, mineral and precise finish. It's a particularly successful rendition and among the more complete whites of the vintage. JA 92 (4/2026): White fruits, nectarine, plenty of character, peony petals and creamy white pear with star anise and liquorice root. Moriesh with pesonality. |
