Bone Ash Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |

| WA 96-98 (10/2014): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Bone Ash Vineyard should be as good as the 2012. It reveals sweet blackberry and blueberry fruit, a creamy, opulent, voluptuous texture, and incredible richness and length. It should drink well for 20-25 years. |

Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |

| WA 96 (10/2013): There are 350 cases of the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve which boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as beautiful aromas of cassis, red and black fruits, high-toned spicy oak, a full-bodied, layered mouthfeel, and a finish that lasts 45-50 seconds. This fabulous, All American Cabernet Sauvignon that comes from a first-growth site will offer glorious drinking over the next 20-25 years. I am glad to see the Venges building sweeter tannins into their wines so they have accessibility in their youth and adolescence. |

Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |

JD 96 (2/2023): The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve is a touch more perfumed and complex, with a beautiful mix of both red and black fruits as well as flowery incense, smoked tobacco, sandalwood, and exotic herbs. These all carry over to the palate, where the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, with an elegant, seamless mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, a great core of sweet fruit, and no shortage of length on the finish. It's another brilliant, singular wine from this estate that readers will love. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 15+ years. (Drink between 2023-2039). WA 96 (11/2021): Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon explodes with crème de cassis, baked plums and Black Forest cake scents, plus hints of candied violets, clove oil, cedar and unsmoked cigars. Big, full-bodied and richly fruited, the palate has a firm and grainy frame to support the generous black fruits and spicy accents, finishing very long. |

| VM 90 (5/2010): Bright full ruby. Strong coconutty oak dominates the nose. Full, glyceral and sweet, but with sneaky energy and firm structural underpinning to the dark raspberry flavor. More complex and serious than the 2008 version, and a bit less sweet and obvious. Finishes with building tannins. Stephen Tanzer. |

Scout’s Honor Napa Valley Proprietary Blend |
$39 |

| |
| VM 88 (12/2011): The 2009 Zinfandel Scout's Honor is a big, super ripe wine loaded with sweet, jammy fruit. It shows good textural elegance and depth, although admittedly, this is not a style I am crazy about. The blend is 55% Zinfandel, 22% Petite Syrah, 14% Charbono and 9% Syrah. Antonio Galloni. |

Silencieux Cabernet Sauvignon |
$69 |

|
| |
| WA 95 (12/2015): Deep ruby/purple with a seamless integration of oak, alcohol, wood and tannin, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Silencieux is a smoothly textured, dense ruby/purple-colored wine with enormous fruit extract, loads of blueberry and blackberry notes, a touch of oak and charcoal. It's full-bodied, opulent and easier to drink than the two blockbuster 2012s. Drink now through 2031. |

Silencieux Cabernet Sauvignon |

| |
| JD 95 (12/2017): Starting out, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Silencieux is a pretty, complex, balanced beauty that offers loads of mulberry, blackberry, spicy oak, and forest floor aromas and flavors. It’s upfront, frontend loaded, seamless, and already impossible to resist, and is well worth checking out. It’s not going to make old bones but it’s one seriously delicious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that delivers the goods. |
