JD 98 (8/2024): Jeweled ruby red, the 2021 Pinot Noir Ceras has exquisitely lifted aromas of preserved cranberries, eau de vie, and brambly, pure, fresh herbs. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins, preserved flowers, pristine fresh herbs, framboise, with beautiful clarity, it’s the Volnay of the range. Drink over the next 10 years. (Drink between 2024-2034). VM 95 (1/2024): Youthfully coy, the 2021 Pinot Noir Ceras wafts up with a spicy blend of dried black cherries, incense, dusty sage and clove. Softly textured and juicy in feel, sweet herbal tones and sapid red and blue fruits slowly saturate toward the close. It finishes with a pleasantly bitter tinge of savory spice, mixing hints of ginger and cardamom, tapering off crunchy and long. (Drink between 2025-2035). Eric Guido.
WA 94+ (7/2024): The 2021 Pinot Noir Ceras has layered aromas of cranberry sauce, pomegranate, orange peel, tar, tea leaves and bitters. The palate balances structural delicacy with high concentration. Lacy tannins and vibrant acidity frame its deep, spicy flavors, and it has a very long finish with a flourish of spicy accents. It will benefit from 3-5 years in the bottle. |

JD 97 (8/2025): Displaying a medium ruby red color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Ceras is savory and elegant, with notes of salty earth, wild strawberries, windswept herbs, crushed stones, and wildflowers. Medium-bodied, it has refined, ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, floating finish. It has a Burgundian aesthetic and is only going to improve with time, as its more umami savory elements start to shine through. Drink 2025-2040. (Drink between 2025-2040). Audrey Frick.
VM 95 (7/2025): The 2022 Pinot Noir Ceras wafts up with a florist shop bouquet, mixing shavings of blood orange with sweet lavender, incense and spice. Lifted and pure in form and feel, it offers zesty acidity and crisp red berry fruit, energized by a core of stimulating acidity. Crunchy mineral tones cascade across the palate as a hint of sour citrus combines with tart cherry through the long, nearly electric finale. With just 27.6% new oak, the 2022 Ceras is dangerously approachable yet wonderfully complex. (Drink between 2026-2034). Eric Guido.
WA 93+ (12/2025): The 2022 Pinot Noir Ceras has intense, nuanced aromas of strawberry, Italian plum, damp earth, tobacco and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled, combining highly concentrated flavors with silky tannins. It’s balanced by vibrant acidity and has a long, spicy finish. It opens dramatically with air and will benefit from time in the cellar. |

VM 97 (7/2025): The 2022 Chardonnay Aequorin is seductive from the first tilt of the glass as a whiff of chamomile mingles with crushed almonds, sweet basil, mint and dusty stone. Energetic yet deep, complex and intensely mineral, it delivers a sour citrus infusion and crisp orchard fruit that rattles the senses. Sharply focused, it leaves a spicy ginger inflection and a hint of tart green apple that lingers incredibly long. In 2022 the Aequorin comes exclusively from the Carlisle's Crest vineyard. It was refined in 34% new oak. (Drink between 2026-2034). Eric Guido.
JD 95+ (8/2025): A bright straw/yellow color, the 2022 Chardonnay Aequorin is fantastic, layered with notes of pear, caramel apples, hints of butterscotch, lime blossoms, wet stones, and saline broth. It’s full-bodied, yet it has an electric energy that weaves through the wine, keeping it light on its feet, with a focused and linear drive, mouthwatering lime citrus, and salty earth that lingers long on the finish.
