| JD 91-93 (1/2022): Leading off the Gigondas, the base 2020 Gigondas has lots of black raspberry, ground pepper, and violets notes as well as a round, supple, silky style on the palate. It should be approachable on release, yet it has plenty of mid-palate depth as well as tannins, and I have no doubt it will evolve for 20 years if properly stored. |

| VM 92 (9/2017): Deep ruby. Oak-inflected cherry and blackberry on the deeply perfumed, smoke-tinged nose. Broad and chewy on the palate, offering gently sweet dark fruit, vanilla and licorice flavors and a suave touch of candied flowers. WS 95 (11/2014): This has a gorgeous beam of pomegranate, red currant and damson plum fruit, coiled tightly for now. A snap of red licorice adds lift before tangy sanguine, iron, pepper and bay notes emerge on the finish. Exhibits terrific cut and length. Best from 2015 through 2025. 72 cases imported.
WA 93-96 (12/2013): More aromatic and complex compared to the Valbelle, the 2012 Gigondas Le Claux exhibits notions of potpourri, leather, graphite and flowers to go with a full-bodied, elegant and pure profile on the palate. It too doesn’t lack for fruit or structure and should have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity.
JLL ***** (12/2013): (From cask) Full dark robe, legs; basil touches, raspberry fruit with specks of oak tar, cocoa, a sweet prune richness, a brewed style. The palate offers lightly scented red cherry, red currant fruit with a snap given by its oaking. The length is sound, steady. It builds on the finish, a stealthy increase in assertion of its content, then a drier stretch. Pretty good style at base. Needs time.
VM 92-94 (2/2014): Opaque ruby. An intensely perfumed bouquet presents candied dark berries, incense, lavender and olive tapenade, along with a bright mineral overtone. Sweet, penetrating blackberry and cherry compote flavors show Outstanding depth and clarity, with a spicy quality gaining strength in the glass. Finishes smooth, smoky and very long, with solid tannins adding grip. This one is built for the cellar. |

Incredibly elegant and finesse-driven, it boasts a deep ruby/purple color to go with incredibly floral notes of camphor, dried earth, black currants, and spice. This Burgundian beauty boasts full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, heavenly mouthfeel, building tannins, and again, an incredible floral quality. I absolutely love it. |

VM 98 (1/2023): Opaque red. Sharply defined red fruit, floral and Moroccan spice aromas, along with intense mineral, garrigue and cola nuances. Shows superb depth as well as vivacity on the palate, offering juicy red and blue fruit, floral pastille and spicecake flavors and an exotic hint of blood orange. Finishes impressively long and precise with firm tension, discreet tannins and reverberating red fruit and floral notes.
JD 96 (3/2023): Leading off the three single vineyards, the 2020 Gigondas Le Claux is all Grenache as always and comes from a site just down the hill from the estate. It has lots of savory red and black fruits, ground pepper, and dried garrigue nuances as well as medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. Polished, elegant, and finesse-driven, it shows the pure, balanced style of the vintage perfectly and is a brilliant wine to enjoy over the coming two decades. |

| JD 96 (10/2017): There are 500 cases of the 2015 Gigondas Valbelle and it’s another winner from this estate based on the normal 90/10 split of Grenache and Syrah. Fermented without destemming and aged in 20% new barrels, this beauty boasts a huge nose of smoked meats, pepper, camphor and layered black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. Full-bodied, opulent and powerful, with a big mid-palate and building tannin, it too will benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for two decades. |
