| BH 90-93 (1/2018): Here the wood treatment is no longer subtle and it completely dominates the underlying spice and fruit scents. On the plus side there is excellent concentration to the rich and full-bodied flavors that possess evident power and muscularity while delivering excellent length on the slightly warm finish where the wood sweetens it. This too is youthfully awkward at present and note that my range offers the benefit of the doubt that, like the Ech, this will harmonize if given at least a few years of bottle age first. (Drink starting 2028). |

| BH 91-94 (1/2011): (from vines adjacent to those of Domaine de la Romanee Conti in Richebourg proper totaling .31 ha; 80% whole cluster vinification). A notably floral, spicy and very cool nose is trimmed in noticeable but reasonable wood and leads to very rich, round and velvety big-bodied and powerful flavors that culminate in a moderately oaked but strikingly long finish. Again, the oak is not subtle on the palate but there appears to be more than enough concentration to handle it. Drink 2024+. |

The middle weight and more mineral-inflected flavors are not as dense however though they do flash better power and driving on the youthfully austere, compact and very firm finale. This is very much of an introverted Riche at present and extended patience will be required if you wish to experience this at its peak. Drink starting 2032. |
