Pernand Vergelesses Blanc 1er Cru Sous Fretille

WA 93 (1/2021): Aromas of pear, citrus oil, crushed chalk and white flowers introduce the 2019 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille, a medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated wine with incisive acids and fine depth at the core. As ever, it's the insider's choice chez Rapet, punching above its weight in terms of aging potential and incipient complexity.

BH 90 (6/2021): This is aromatically similar to the Clos du Village with a touch of smoky character. The medium weight flavors are not quite as concentrated though they offer slightly better depth on the balanced, detailed, stony and moderately austere finale. (Drink starting 2024).
