VM 88 (7/2009): Good bright, deep red. Red berries, dark cherry, spicy oak and a whiff of leather on the nose. Fairly rich and ripe, but with firm acidity giving juiciness and spine to the middle palate. Not a fleshy wine but nicely fresh. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins. Stephen Tanzer.
