WA 93 (12/2009): The finest Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted from Far Niente may be the 2007 Estate. Its dense purple color is accompanied by fragrant aromatics of creme de cassis, spice box, underbrush, and forest floor. Voluptuously-textured and full-bodied with superb purity and depth as well as a layered, complete finish, this terrific wine should be drinkable before the 2006, but age just as long 20-25+ years. WS 88 (11/2010): Tightly wound, firm and tannic, this well-structured red has a core of herb- and bell pepper-laced cedar, currant and tobacco flavors that are taut and concentrated. Ends with chewy tannins. Best from 2011 through 2017. 12,790 cases made. |

JS 92 (6/2011): A full-bodied red with lots of character, from spices such as cinnamon to grilled nuts. Plus plenty of fruit. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long rich finish. Turns a little astringent. Give it three to five years of bottle age to soften. WA 89 (12/2010): Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, this dense ruby/purple-colored 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a slightly muted, restrained set of aromatics (cedar and black currants), but the wine kicks in on the palate. Medium to full-bodied with an elegant style, it is an attractive, stylish Cabernet Sauvignon that appears to be slightly over-priced. WS 89 (9/2011): Taut and tightly wound, with firm cedar, tobacco, cigar box and roasted herb flavors built around dried currant, mineral and spicy oak notes. Needs time. Decant for now. Best from 2012 through 2022. 10,300 cases made. VM 88 (5/2011): Bright ruby-red. Aromatic nose combines cherry, currant, chocolate, flowers and fresh herbs lifted by a note of spearmint oil. The juicy palate adds some tobacco and resiny spices to the mix, with a peppery quality contributing energy. The dusty, firm-edged tannins reminded me a bit of 2006, but this has better fruit. | VM 93 (10/2015): A dark, explosive wine, the 2013 hits the palate with masses of dark, super-concentrated fruit. Spice, new leather, menthol and tobacco appear with air to round things out. The 2013 is not especially subtle, but it is racy, opulent and voluptuous, all qualities that will hold considerable appeal to readers looking for immediacy and near-term pleasure, all of which the 2013 has in abundance. Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 90 (12/2016): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Far Niente Estate Bottled is an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Wild cherry, smoke, tobacco, licorice and dark spices give the wine much of its considerable appeal. This is a very pretty, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from Far Niente. Antonio Galloni. |

| WA 95 (3/2023): A rich, voluptuous blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Bottled features alluring scents of rubbed sage, cassis, black cherries and freshly turned loam. It's full-bodied, concentrated and supple, with a slightly plush, velvety feel and a lingering, fruit-driven finish. Despite aging in 70% new oak, it's not an oaky wine, with the fruit and earth elements claiming the spotlight. |
