James Johnson Vineyard

2007

Bisou Cabernet Sauvignon

$55

WA 93 (12/2011): The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Bisou is a gorgeous wine laced with dark red fruit, flowers, spices and licorice, all of which come together in an open, radiant style that is very appealing. This is a decidedly mid-weight, gracious 2007 that stands out for its classiness and understated personality. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.

2008

Bisou Cabernet Sauvignon

$59

VM 94 (12/2011): The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Bisou comes across as more powerful than the 2007. The flavor profile is slightly darker than normal and everything is just a bit richer, deeper and more balanced than the wines I have tasted from this site previously. Dark cherries, plums, menthol and licorice wrap around the sensual, textured finish. This is a terrific showing for the Bisou. (Drink between 2013-2020). Antonio Galloni.
