VM 92 (10/2012): The 2008 Carema Etichetta Bianca wafts from the glass with sweet dried cherries, tobacco, sweet herbs and crushed flowers. A mid-weight, delicate wine, the 2008 is quite typical of these hillside vineyards. In 2008 the acidity is a bit on the high side, which readers should keep in mind when considering food pairings. This is a gorgeous wine from Ferrando. (Drink between 2013-2023). Antonio Galloni.

VM 94 (7/2015): Pine, mint, crushed rocks, tobacco, wild flowers and dried cherries open up in the 2010 Carema Etichetta Bianca. A wine of finesse and understatement, the 2010 offers superb balance and overall harmony. Silky tannins and veins of salinity run through the floral, savory finish. Today, the 2010 hits all the right notes. I imagine it will continue to drink well for at least a number of years. (Drink between 2017-2030). Antonio Galloni.

VM 88 (4/2016): Translucent and delicate in the glass, the 2011 Carema Etichetta Bianca is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next few years. In 2011, the Etichetta Bianca has a slightly wild, gamy profile that I personally do not find pleasing and that will almost surely become more prominent over time. As such, I suggest drinking the 2011 sooner rather than later. Scents of tar, rose petal and orange peel add the closing shades of nuance in this beguiling Carema. (Drink between 2016-2021). Antonio Galloni.

VM 94 (10/2011): The 2007 Carema Etichetta Nera is a little less aromatically complex than the Etichetta Bianca and more full-bodied through the mid-palate and finish. It boasts superb juiciness in its dark cherries, plums, sweet herbs and spices. The oak is exceptionally well-integrated in this vintage. I often prefer the Etichetta Bianca, but in 2007 both wines are striking for their beauty and sheer expressiveness. The round, caressing finish makes it nearly impossible to put the glass down. (Drink between 2013-2027). Antonio Galloni.

VM 87 (10/2012): he estate's 2008 Carema Etichetta Nera comes across as forced. Vintage 2008 was not a year to make rich, concentrated wines, which certainly seems like the intent. The oak is simply too much for the wine's medium-bodied structure. (Drink between 2013-2020). Antonio Galloni.
