JD 95 (12/2021): From a site outside of St. Helena, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is a more mineral-laced, red and blue-fruited effort with some Pauillac-like lead pencil and earthy nuances. With nicely integrated oak, medium to full-bodied richness, and notable tannins, give it 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 10-15. It's another terrific wine in this portfolio. (Drink between 2023-2039). WA 95 (11/2021): Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color. Alluring notes of warm cassis, blackberry pie and fresh black cherries jump out of the glass, plus wafts of bay leaves, truffles and pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate is wonderfully savory with lots of herbal sparks among the black fruits and a firm, grainy frame, finishing refreshing. VM 90 (1/2022): A new wine in this range, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard offers plenty of initial impact, but then loses much of its persistence on the mid-palate and finish. There is no way getting around the young age of these wines. This wine probably should not have been a vineyard designate. (Drink between 2022-2030). Antonio Galloni. |

Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vyd. Elysian Cabernet Sauvignon |

JD 97+ (1/2020): Certainly, one of the wines of the vintage, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian comes from a first growth site outside of St. Helena and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in new barrels. It has that classic earthy, gravelly minerality that’s the hallmark of this terroir as well a full-bodied, concentrated, yet backward vibe on the palate. The tannins are sensational, it has incredible purity of fruit, and it’s packed with potential. A solid 4-5 years of bottle age are warranted, but count yourself lucky if you have bottles in the cellar. (Drink between 2025-2045). VM 94 (1/2020): The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian is dark, plush and sumptuous to the core. Chocolate, leather, plum, black cherry and spice bring out a darker side of Dr. Crane. The 2017 is decidedly sumptuous and flamboyant, with all the elements in the right place. (Drink between 2022-2032). Antonio Galloni. WA 94 (10/2019): The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian is deep garnet-purple colored with notes of plum preserves, baked cherries, crème de cassis and mocha plus hints of leather, Chinese five spice, bouquet garni and cast iron pan. The palate is full-bodied, firm and chewy with a good core of fruit and spicy finish. (Drink between 2021-2040). |

Beckstoffer Georges III Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon Lightly Scuffed Label |

JS 95 (5/2017): A full and juicy cabernet with velvety tannins and an earthy, blue-fruit undertone. Juicy and delicious. Yummy. Flamboyant. WA 94 (12/2016): There are 325 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. This is an opaque purple wine with notes of incense, charcoal embers, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a touch of subtle background oak and sweet, velvety tannin in a full-bodied, super-rich intense wine that, in short, is utterly delicious! Drink it over the next 15-20 years. JD 94 (7/2017): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is a deeper, richer example of the base Napa Valley release and offers fabulous notes of blackcurrants, graphite, charcoal and licorice. It’s a big, sexy beast of a Cabernet that has full-bodied power, a ripe, unctuous texture, and sweet tannin which are completely cover by fruit at the moment. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades. VM 94 (12/2016): The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III is powerful, dense and explosive. All the richness and intensity that is typical of these wines is present, but there is also wonderful complexity and layers of flavor, with plenty of savory, earthy and mineral underpinnings. The move to incorporate five different blocks within Georges III has made a world of difference. This is a super distinctive wine from Mike Smith. It is also one of the few wines in this lineup that needs time for the tannins to soften. |

| WS 90 (9/2015): Tight, young, dense and tannic, with a rich, well-focused core of dark berry, licorice, graphite and cedar. Well-structured and expansive on the finish, even as the tannins clamp down. Best from 2016 through 2028. 200 cases made. |

| JD 94 (8/2020): Gorgeous stuff, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley comes from a mix of the single vineyards and was aged in 50% new French oak. Showing beautifully, with lots of cassis fruit, spice, graphite, and tobacco, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, has supple, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's a beautiful, sexy wine to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years. (Drink between 2020-2035). |

Steltzner Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |
$149 |

VM 96 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is outrageously beautiful. Dark, vivid and sumptuous to the core, the Steltzner captures all the magic of this great Stags Leap vineyard. Crème de cassis, lavender, spice, mint and blueberry jam all come alive in the glass. This is one of the very finest wines I have ever tasted from Mike and Leah Smith. Don't miss it! (Drink between 2024-2034). Antonio Galloni. JD 95 (12/2021): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stelzner Vineyard comes from a corner block in this vineyard and offers a more black-fruited, chocolaty style that turns more floral and violet-tinged with time in the glass. More tobacco and crushed stone, full-bodied richness, good acidity, and ripe tannins all make for a brilliant, seamless, incredibly impressive wine that can be drunk today or cellared for 15+ years. (Drink between 2021-2037). WA 94+ (11/2021): Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color, delivering pronounced notes of stewed plums, boysenberry preserves and warm cassis, plus suggestions of fruitcake, tobacco leaf and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the generous fruit is supported by chunky tannins and just enough freshness, finishing savory. |

VM 90 (6/2013): Bright medium red. Aromatically expressive nose offers currant, tobacco leaf, pepper, herbs and a musky smoky nuance. Sweet, lush and very ripe--in fact, a tad roasted in the middle palate. Finishes with serious, slightly rough, chocolatey tannins that dust the teeth. Stephen Tanzer. WA 92 (10/2013): The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Twins Vineyard, which comes from the backwoods of Conn Valley, is a big, juicy, rich Cabernet with loads of fruit, plenty of blueberry, raspberry and floral notes, medium to full-bodied power and no hard edges. It can be drunk now or cellared for 10-15+ years. |

Three Twins Vyd. Cabernet Sauvignon |
$149 |

|
| |
| WA 94 (12/2015): The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Twins Vineyard emerges from a site that winemaker Mike Smith has found in Conn Valley. The wine shows a more earthy side to his brilliant winemaking skills, showing blueberry and blackberry fruit, but there is more of an underlying minerality and loamy soil, earthiness. It is full-bodied, rich, pure, and multilayered aa well as textured. It should drink well for at least 20-25 years. |
