| VM 89 (12/2014): A big, dark wine, the 2012 Cabernet Franc possesses gorgeous depth. Mocha, blackberry jam, cloves and leather all wrap around the super-expressive finish. The Cabernet Franc offers the early approachability of the year along with a bit more structure than the Merlot. As always, there is a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend, 17% in this vintage. Antonio Galloni. |

WA 90 (12/2009): The top end offerings include the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Last year I reviewed the 2005 (although it was listed as the 2006), which did not turn out nearly as well as the 2006. The deep ruby/purple-hued 2006 exhibits notes of cassis, tar, crushed rocks, chocolate, and berry fruit in a full-bodied, fleshy format. It should drink nicely for a decade. VM 89 (6/2009): Medium ruby-red. Subdued aromas of plum, currant, tar, earth, roasted herbs and cedary spices. The palate offers better definition and energy than the merlot, with nicely perfumed mountain berry and cedar flavors offering sneaky intensity. Finishes with a serious dusting of tannins and good life and length. WS 88 (6/2009): Lots of toasty, creamy oak is wrapped around a supple core of black cherry and currant. Full-bodied, balanced and smooth, ending with complex, fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2014. 5,248 cases made. |

| VM 92 (10/2015): Pride's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is soft, creamy and voluptuous. Sweet cherry, rose petal, mint, plum, cinnamon, new leather and cedar open up effortlessly in the glass, with silky tannins that add to the wine's sheer appear. The Cabernet Sauvignon captures the open-knit, radiant personality of the vintage to the fullest. Antonio Galloni. |

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |

WA 94 (10/2014): There are 1,374 cases of the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which spent 22 months in 40% new French oak. It exhibits classic notes of new saddle leather, unsmoked cigar tobacco, red and blackcurrants, and loamy soil undertones in a full-bodied, intense, opulent, fleshy style. 85% came from Sonoma County and 15% from Napa County. This beauty is on a fast evolutionary track, so drink it during its first 7-8 years of life. VM 93+ (12/2014): Pride's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is another exceptional wine from this vintage. The cool, late harvest yielded a slightly restrained wine, yet the 2011 Reserve impresses for its balance and overall harmony. Grilled herbs, tobacco and lavender flesh out on the super-expressive, pliant finish. The 2011 could use another year in bottle, but I wouldn't plan on cellaring it for more than a decade give or take. Once the tannins soften, the 2011 will drink nicely for at least a handful of years. VM 90 (6/2015): (14.4% alcohol; the fruit was picked until November 28 "without botrytis," said Steve Pride, adding that 2011 was "the coldest year in our history"): Bright, saturated medium ruby. Precise aromas and flavors of blackberry, licorice, spices, menthol and espresso accented by flinty minerality, pepper and fresh herbs. Juicy, tight and on the lean side, given a distinctly savory character by slightly peppery acidity. Boasts very good definition, grip and underlying structure--not to mention good length--but will this very cool Cabernet gain in complexity with bottle aging? WS 88 (7/2015): Offers an initial burst of ripe, supple plum, cherry and wild berry, firming and flexing tannic strength on the finish. In line with the 2011 vintage in terms of austerity, but ends pleasantly, returning to the core fruit theme. Drink now through 2026. 1,374 cases made. |

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |

| JD 98 (1/2020): Starting with the two 2016s and another tremendous wine from this estate, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve comes 67% from Napa Valley and 33% from Sonoma County. Based on 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, it's ruby/purple hue is followed by a classic Pride Cabernet offering notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil, espresso, camphor, new saddle leather, and spicy oak. Beautifully concentrated, full-bodied, and with ripe tannins, it has nothing out of place, offers a multi-dimensional, layered texture, and builds incrementally on the palate, with flawless balance. It shows the more nuanced, classical style of the 2016 vintage and will cruise in cool cellars for two decades. |

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |

VM 95 (1/2022): Pride's flagship 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is going to need a number of years to come around. Black cherry, plum, spice, new leather, licorice, lavender and mocha all open with a bit of time. This deceptively mid-weight Cabernet packs plenty of mountain punch. The Reserve is not an obvious wine, especially in comparison with what these wines were like a few years ago. (Drink between 2025-2038). Antonio Galloni. JD 94+ (5/2022): Lastly, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve can be thought of as the top cuvée, and in 2018 it's 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. Its deep purple hue is followed by a powerful, medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that builds beautifully in the glass, with ripe yet present tannins and integrated acidity all giving it an age-worthy feel. Classic crème de cassis, graphite, scorched earth, and tobacco all define the aromatics. The balance is spot on, but like many 2018s, the cellar is going to be your friend. Do your best to hide bottles for 4-5 years, and it's going to drink brilliantly for two decades. (Drink between 2026-2047). |

Reserve Claret |

JD 96 (1/2020): There are just over 500 cases of the 2016 Reserve Claret, a more Merlot-dominated blend that includes 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. It's similarly hued to the Reserve Cabernet and has a terrific perfume of blackcurrants, black cherries, ground herbs, and black tea as well as a whiff of dark chocolate and new saddle leather. This beauty offers a stunning array of full-bodied richness and depth, building yet ripe tannins, notable purity, and a sense of power without heaviness. It is a fabulously complex Bordeaux blend from Napa/Sonoma that will continue drinking beautifully for another 20 years. (Drink between 2020-2040). WA 95+ (9/2019): The 2016 Claret Reserve is made up of 68% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot, aged in roughly 50% new oak, with 54% of the fruit from Napa County and 46% from Sonoma County. Deep garnet-purple colored, it slowly builds on the nose from a foundation of warm cassis, red and black plums, mulberries and fresh blackberries into fragrant potpourri, oolong tea, bouquet garni and forest floor notes with wafts of tapenade and truffles. Full-bodied, the palate is completely filled with bold, expressive black fruits and earthy nuances, framed by firm, ripe, rounded tannins and finishing with great length and depth. VM 92 (1/2020): The 2016 Claret Reserve is plush, rich and enveloping. Dark cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and rose petal all flesh out in this supple, racy Merlot-based cuvée. Like the straight Merlot, this is a relatively soft and open-knit wine; I would like to see more depth and structure here. (Drink between 2021-2031). Antonio Galloni. |

Reserve Claret |

JD 95 (5/2022): The 2018 Reserve Claret is based on 56% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot, and there are a tiny 610 cases produced. It's a beautiful, impeccably balanced 2018 that shows the vintage's straighter, more elegant style on the palate, and it's medium to full-bodied and has solid acidity as well as tannins. Offering up plenty of red and almost blue fruits as well as floral and sappy herb aromatics, this beautifully textured, silky red blend will drink nicely for upwards of two decades. (Drink between 2022-2042). VM 95 (1/2022): The 2018 Claret Reserve is a blend of two-thirds Merlot and one-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright floral accents give the 2018 its energetic, vibrant feel. It is a perfect example of the Pride style today - a style that increasingly balances fruit richness with bright acids and plenty of drive. The 2019 is absolutely exquisite. (Drink between 2024-2035). Antonio Galloni. |
