VM 98 (1/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate, 100% Cabernet, shows just how special this site in northern St. Helena planted in 1989 with Grace clone Cabernet is. Copious blackberry jam, espresso, chocolate, licorice and cloves saturate the palate. Readers will find a truly distinctive Cabernet built on aromatic intensity, huge fruit and equally potent tannins. Give it a few years to soften. (Drink between 2025-2039). Antonio Galloni.
WA 97+ (3/2022): The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate, from the original vineyard on an east-facing slope just north of the town of St. Helena, is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 85% new French oak. It's less opulent and more classically styled than the Aida, with hints of thyme, sage and bay leaf lacing through cassis and blackberries. Full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins—but plenty of them—it's both mouthfilling and mouth-drying, with a long, gently dusty finish. Again, it could use some time in the cellar, and then it will drink well for two decades or more. |

| WA 96+ (12/2017): Very deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate Vineyard gives up warm cassis, black berry and black cherry notes with hints of cedar chest, black pepper, black soil and baking spices plus a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, firm and tautly built, it has a lovely ripe and coarsely grained texture with oodles of freshness giving lift to the muscular fruit. It finishes on a complex earthy note. 750 cases were made. |

| VM 94 (3/2018): The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard 29 Estate is tremendous. A big, ample wine, the 29 Estate packs a real punch. Even so, there is fabulous balance, especially for such a big, potent wine. A rush of black cherry, smoke, chocolate, licorice and cloves all build into the plush, flamboyant finish. The 2015 is not a shy wine, but it is impeccable in its balance. I loved it. Antonio Galloni. |
