JD 98 (7/2025): The 2023 Pinot Noir Bodega displays a darker hue in the glass. The most potent of the wines in the range, it improved over the few days that I tasted it. It reveals deep notes of forest floor in its aromas of mossy earth, dark berries, brambly resinous herbs, graphite, and wildflowers. It saturates the palate with medium to full-bodied richness and a dark mineral texture, with ripe tannins and purple flowers lasting on the finish. It offers a fantastic oceanic savory character and is a stunning wine to drink over the coming 20 years. (Drink between 2025-2045). Audrey Frick.
VM 96 (1/2025): A superb wine, the 2023 Pinot Noir Bodega captures all the best the vintage had to offer. Seamless and elegant, the 2023 is an absolute delight. Blood orange, spice, mint, tobacco and dried flowers all build in the glass. The 100% stems are present but beautifully integrated. The 2023 is a superb wine for the year and for Raen. It has plenty of youthful, coastal energy, but is not quite as austere as the two other Pinots in the range. Stellar. (Drink between 2026-2038). Antonio Galloni. |

| VM 94 (1/2025): The 2023 Pinot Noir Sea Field is a powerful, intensely mineral wine. Iron, gravel, red-toned fruit and rose petal are all finely scultped. Salivating acids and a spine of searing tannins give th Sea Fields its shape and insistent, driving personality. Bright saline notes extend the nauced, bracing finish. This nervy Pinot needs time in bottle to be at its most expressive. (Drink between 2026-2038). Antonio Galloni. |

JD 97 (12/2025): Bottled in August 2025 as the last to be bottled and the largest production cuvée here, the 2023 The Bard is based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc and aged 21 months in 83% new French oak. Cassis, freshly sharpened pencils, violets, and spicy wood notes all shine, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate with a layered mouthfeel, ripe, polished yet building tannins, and a great finish. It picks up a Graves-like scorched earth character with time in the glass, and this beautiful, classic Cabernet will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and see its 20th birthday in fine form. Drink 2027-2043.
VM 94 (11/2025): The 2023 The Bard is rich and expansive on the palate, yet it also shows the more restrained style that has begun to emerge at Realm in recent years. Black cherry, mocha, licorice, spice and lavender fill out the layers effortlessly. The long, resonant finish is striking. (Drink between 2027-2038). Antonio Galloni. |

JD 94 (8/2025): From Ribbon Ridge, the 2022 Pinot Noir Sequitur Vineyard shows a bright medium red hue with vivid wild spice, cranberry, cinnamon, and iron-rich earth. Linear and focused on the palate, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a citrusy finish, drink this 2025-2040. Audrey Frick.
WA 93+ (11/2025): The 2023 Pinot Noir Sequitur Vineyard comes from mixed clone vines planted from 2012 to 2014 in marine-based soils adjacent to Beaux Frères's Upper Terrace Vineyard. Matured for 15 months in 50% new French oak, it has foresty aromas of wild berries, mushrooms, mossy bark and autumn leaves, revealing higher-toned citrus and potpourri as it airs in the glass. The medium-bodied palate boasts detailed, earth-laced flavors. It has soft, silky tannins, juicy acidity and a long, latent finish. It will benefit from time in the cellar. |

JD 100 (12/2025): The epitome of class and elegance, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon offers pure crème de cassis, liquid violets, crushed stone, graphite, and cedar notes on the nose. It's full-bodied on the palate, with remarkably polished tannins, flawless overall balance, and incredible length. This is never the biggest or richest wine in the vintage, yet the sheer level of purity, structure, and depth is absolutely incredible. Compared to the 2021, this is less powerful and made in a more elegant style, yet it's every bit as profound and compelling. It builds beautifully with time in the glass and already offers pleasure yet won't hit prime time for a decade and will cruise for 50+ years. Drink 2035-2075. (Drink between 2035-2075).
VM 98+ (11/2025): The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a huge bouquet that is immediately captivating. Dark fruit, menthol, licorice, cloves, graphite and dried herbs lend considerable aromatic intensity to play off the wine's deeply layered structure. I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. Screaming Eagle is the Lafite of Napa Valley. (Drink between 2033-2053). Antonio Galloni.
WA 98 (5/2026): The 2023 Screaming Eagle is approximately 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. At this young age, the various components haven't yet quite harmonized, such that it's possible to pick out black cherries, graham crackers, redcurrants and faintly herbal notes on the nose, while the medium- to full-bodied palate is framed by softly dusty tannins yet shows tremendous focus, energy and length on the finish. Impressive. |

| VM 94 (9/2026): The 2023 Pinot Noir Ten is a very successful wine in this vintage, showing enough richness to the dark berry fruit to soak up the considerable new French oak imprint. Brambly raspberry, dark cherry skin, lavender, orange pith and bright rhubarb acidity join together to lift the palate effortlessly. Everything is in solid balance here. This style clearly works better with the freshness of a cool vintage like 2023. (Drink between 2027-2036). Billy Norris. |

| JD 91 (7/2025): A bright ruby color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard comes from the Sonoma Coast is pretty and a little more subtle all around, with notes of fresh berries, fresh flowers, and baked earth. The palate is medium-bodied and has a leaner texture, as well as a clean, easygoing feel. It’s a more understated wine from Sojourn in this vintage to drink over the coming 6-7 years.
