Tasting Notes:
BH 90 (6/2023): A subtle but perceptible dollop of oak frames fresh and bright aromas of citrus, acacia and Granny Smith apples. The racy and moderately concentrated medium-bodied flavors possess both excellent precision and a really lovely texture, all wrapped in a markedly dry but not really austere finale that flashes excellent length. This is a very fine Puligny villages and worth checking out plus it should age gracefully. Drink 2028+.

There is excellent volume to the powerful, intense and concentrated middle weight plus flavors that display a refreshing salinity on the driving, complex and beautifully long finale. Once again there is solid structure present so this will require at least some patience. Drink 2029+. Sweet Spot Outstanding! |

The palate is taut and fresh, with very fine tension. BH 93 (6/2024): Restrained and distinctly cool aromas include a plethora of floral nuances that add elegance to the white orchard fruit, citrus and soft hazelnut wisps. The incredibly low yields are in evidence as the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is almost thick yet the bright citrus-tinged acid spine keeps everything in focus on the strikingly long, bone-dry and markedly austere finale. This is a superb Meursault villages and very much built-to-age, indeed it's absolutely going to need it.
WA 92 (1/2024): Aromas of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, hazelnuts and clear honey introduce Coche's 2021 Meursault Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive wine with a pretty core of fruit girdled by tangy acids and chalky extract, concluding with a long, palate staining finish.
VM 89 (1/2024): The 2021 Meursault Village, this vintage a blend of all their vineyard holdings because the yield was so small (for example, just two barrels from half a hectare in Narvaux), has a taut and delineated bouquet with crushed stone infusing the malic aromas. The palate is well-balanced with a twist of lemon on the entry, segueing into more orange rind notes towards the finish. Moderate length. Enjoy this over the next decade. Neal Martin. |

The gorgeously textured middleweight flavors are borderline painfully intense before culminating in a sleek, chiseled and dry finale that is noticeably less austere. This relatively powerful effort is very much built-to-age and a wine that will need at least 5 to 6 years of keeping first. Excellent. Drink 2023+. |

BH 93 (6/2024): A markedly floral nose of bright citrus confit, mineral reduction and discreet spice wisps leads to intense and vibrant medium weight flavors that are notably saline in character on the crisp, dry, moderately austere and linear finale. I very much like the balance and this solidly powerful effort should reward a decade plus of cellaring, which is just as well as it could use better depth. This too is excellent. (Drink starting 2031).
VM 93 (10/2025): The 2021 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru also sports some reduction on the nose like de Montille's En Remilly; however, this seems part of the wine and does not shade the mineralité or terroir profile. The palate is lively and tensile with a citric line of acidity, bright and lemony towards the quite persistent finish. This is a delicious Saint-Aubin that is bursting with energy. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. (Drink between 2025-2035). Neal Martin.
WA 92 (1/2024): The 2021 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly sheds a touch of light reduction in the glass to exhibit aromas of green apple, white flowers, toasted nuts and gunflint. Medium-bodied, satiny and tangy, it unites a certain amplitude of sun-kissed fruit with electric acids and a saline finish. Remilly always exhibits the characteristics of a high-altitude, very stony site that's simultaneously very sunny, but the frost in 2021 has only heightened its internal contrasts. |

This could use better depth so like the En Caradeux, at least a few years of keeping should prove beneficial. |

| VM 91-93 (1/2023): Aged in four used barrels, the 2021 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru Blanc has quite a pithy, honeysuckle and melted wax-scented bouquet, very different from other Chardonnays (sometimes more like a fine Pinot Blanc from Alsace!) The palate is very well balanced with a slight viscosity, lively, spicy with ginger and lemongrass, very feisty on the finish. Lovely. Neal Martin. |

A restrained, ultra-fresh and distinctly floral nose reflects notes of various white orchard fruit aromas, lemon zest and discreet wood toast. There is outstanding volume to the rich and succulent broad-shouldered flavors that possess focused power on the beautifully long and sappy mineral-infused finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This isn't quite as structured as the Chevalier, but it too is promising. Drink 2028+. |
