| WA 100 (1/2000): It doesn't get any better than 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon, a perfect wine. Representing the essence of cassis liqueur intermixed with blackberries, minerals, licorice, and toast, this full-bodied, multi-dimensional classic is fabulous, with extraordinary purity, symmetry, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute. It has the overall equilibrium to evolve for nearly two decades, but it will be hard to resist upon release. Anticipated maturity: now-2020. |

| VM 96 (2/2023): The 2020 Screaming Eagle is one of the great surprises of the year. Energetic and vibrant in the glass, the 2020 offers a bit more energy than most readers are likely used to. All the elements are so well balanced. Dark blue/purplish fruit, lavender, menthol, spice, leather and a soft touch of all fill out the layers effortlessly. In 2020 Screaming Eagle is not as immediately alluring as it so often is, so a measure of patience is warranted. Antonio Galloni. |

JD 95-97 (12/2023): While I wasn't able to taste the 2021s, the 2022s from Screaming Eagle are undeniable successes. Tasted from multiple barrels, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon has medium to full-bodied, richness, beautiful purity of fruit and ripe, building tannins, as well as a good spine of acidity. This estate did an incredible selection, and it certainly shows in all the samples I was able to taste. VM 95 (12/2024): Floral and silky in the glass, with lovely forward fruit, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is a decidedly delicate, elegant wine. It offers terrific freshness and verve. Floral and citrus overtones lift a core of red-toned fruit. The low-ish tannins of the vintage are evident in the wine's mid-weight structure. In the 2022, it's the wine's freshness I admire most. I imagine the 2022 is a rare Screaming Eagle that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Antonio Galloni. |

2023 |
Cabernet Sauvignon |
$2,300 |

JD 100 (12/2025): The epitome of class and elegance, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon offers pure crème de cassis, liquid violets, crushed stone, graphite, and cedar notes on the nose. It's full-bodied on the palate, with remarkably polished tannins, flawless overall balance, and incredible length. This is never the biggest or richest wine in the vintage, yet the sheer level of purity, structure, and depth is absolutely incredible. Compared to the 2021, this is less powerful and made in a more elegant style, yet it's every bit as profound and compelling. It builds beautifully with time in the glass and already offers pleasure yet won't hit prime time for a decade and will cruise for 50+ years. Drink 2035-2075. (Drink between 2035-2075). VM 98+ (11/2025): The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a huge bouquet that is immediately captivating. Dark fruit, menthol, licorice, cloves, graphite and dried herbs lend considerable aromatic intensity to play off the wine's deeply layered structure. I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. Screaming Eagle is the Lafite of Napa Valley. (Drink between 2033-2053). Antonio Galloni. WA 98 (5/2026): The 2023 Screaming Eagle is approximately 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. At this young age, the various components haven't yet quite harmonized, such that it's possible to pick out black cherries, graham crackers, redcurrants and faintly herbal notes on the nose, while the medium- to full-bodied palate is framed by softly dusty tannins yet shows tremendous focus, energy and length on the finish. Impressive. |

2015 |
The Flight Proprietary Blend |
$675 |

|
| |
WA 97 (4/2018): Very deep purple-black, the 2015 The Flight (a blend of 61% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon) opens with electric notes of black and blue fruit sparks—wild blueberries, fresh blackberries and crushed black plums—with nuances of lavender, violets, pencil shavings, tilled soil, yeast extract and a waft of cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied, it hits the palate with tons of energy and freshness supported by firm, finely grained tannins, finishing with tons of fragrant earth layers. JS 98 (5/2018): This is very tight grained and beautifully balanced with violets, crushed stones and a brambleberry character. Extremely aromatic and perfumed. Medium to full body with a compressed mouthfeel of wonderfully fine and fresh tannins. A fantastic merlot-based red for the vintage. Structured yet so balanced. Beautiful now but better in 2021. VM 95 (3/2018): The 2015 The Flight, Screaming Eagle's Merlot-based wine, is terrific. Powerful, deep and explosive, the 2015 is endowed with serious richness and intensity in all of its dimensions. The 2015 is an especially dark, somber wine. As often happens with young Merlot-based wines, The Flight appears to be going through a somewhat closed phase at the moment. That won't be an issue once the wine has a bit more time to come together. Time in the glass brings out hints of lavender, gravel, red cherry, mocha and espresso. The 2015 is going to be fascinating to follow for the next several decades. Antonio Galloni. |

2021 |
The Flight Proprietary Blend |
$775 |

|
| |
VM 97 (12/2023): The 2021 The Flight is built around a core of Merlot from old vines on cobbly soils at the front of the property. From barrel, the 2021 was quite sensual, perhaps deceptively so. This recent tasting of the finished wine from bottle reveals a powerful, dense Flight packed with dark-toned fruit, leather, tobacco and incense. In many vintages, The Flight is accessible young, but the 2021 is a wine for the cellar. It is one of the best and most complete editions I have tasted. There’s a fair amount of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend and quite a bit more Franc than usual, which contributes to the wine’s personality and overall feel. (Drink between 2027-2041). Antonio Galloni. WA 96 (5/2026): Screaming Eagle's 2021 The Flight seems darker and more concentrated than the 2023, with mixed red and black cherries framed by tannins that are firm yet not lacking ripeness. It's medium- to full-bodied, with an expansive mouthfeel that remains balanced and impressively focused on the long, lingering finish. It's mostly Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc making up the balance. JD 95 (12/2025): In the same style as the 2023, the 2021 Flight displays a deep ruby/purple and borderline opaque hue with a powerful nose of red and black fruits, roasted herbs, chocolate, and graphite, along with a kiss of background rose and floral notes. It's medium to full-bodied, rich, powerful, and nicely structured, with the masculine tannins that define the vintage. Hide bottles for 4-6 years and enjoy over the following two decades. Drink 2029-2049. (Drink between 2029-2049). |

| WA 95 (12/2022): From the Auberts' home property on the western side of the Rutherford AVA, the 2020 Chardonnay Sugar Shack features intense scents of lime zest, honey and yellow peaches. Full-bodied, rich and ripe, it tightens up on the finish, adding more bright, refreshing citrus notes. |

| |
| VM 93 (3/2022): The 2020 Roussanne is a beautiful new wine by the talented DeLille winemaking team and director of winemaking Jason Gorski. The nose evokes fantastic range, from banana and honeydew melon to starfruit and damp earth underpinnings. The palate is fresh, vibrant and beautifully textured. The weight really entices as layers of melon and Yakima cherry mingle with minerals and earthy tones on the palate. Gorgeous now, this has a long way to go. (Drink between 2021-2028). Owen Bargreen. |

Head Held High White Wine |
$159 |

|
| |
| JD 96-98 (8/2022): I was able to taste two vintages of this estate's whites, both brilliant. The 2020 White Head Held High, which is still resting in barrel, is a Chardonnay-dominated blend that includes 12% Roussanne and 8% Marsanne. It has a brilliant nose of ripe pineapple, orange blossom, flower oil, and honeysuckle. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, round, mouth-filling, yet still pure and precise white that has a singular character. It's a great wine in the making. |

| |
| WA 91+ (11/2021): Composed of 96% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Semillon, the 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Asatsuyu bursts with vibrant lemon curd, fresh grapefruit and white peach scents plus hints of dill seed, chopped herbs and lime blossoms. Medium-bodied, intense and delicately styled, the palate delivers a restrained, quiet intensity and long, zesty finish. |

Estate Chardonnay |

|
| |
| JD 94 (8/2022): Coming from the estate vineyard on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the 2020 Chardonnay Estate has a beautiful nose of honeyed lemon blossom, crushed stone, toasty oak, and a touch of reductive-like minerality. This carries to a brilliantly balanced, medium-bodied Chardonnay with a round, layered mouthfeel, good acidity, and a focused style that should age gracefully for 7-8 years, if not longer. |

|
| |
| JD 91 (7/2023): The 2020 Pinot Noir Cuvee Eva Marie is a rich ruby hue and has elegant aromas of raspberry, baking spices, and roses. Medium-bodied, with a linear feel and fine tannins, with notes of orange pith, pomegranate, and dusty earth closing out the palate. It has a graceful texture and a good, clean finish. Drink it over the next several years. Audrey Frick. |

WA 94 (1/2021): A tensile, racy wine—two-thirds from Pernand-Vergelesses, one-third from Aloxe-Corton—the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with scents of white flowers, orange oil, buttery pastry and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's chiseled and saline, with impressive cut and grip. BH 91-93 (6/2020): (the proportions have changed again and in 2018 are in a 35/65% proportion from Les Languettes in Aloxe and En Charlemagne in Pernand.) A restrained, ultra-fresh and distinctly floral nose reflects notes of various white orchard fruit aromas, lemon zest and discreet wood toast. There is outstanding volume to the rich and succulent broad-shouldered flavors that possess focused power on the beautifully long and sappy mineral-infused finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This isn't quite as structured as the Chevalier, but it too is promising. Drink 2028+. |
